The G-Series G35-900 62mm is a first-generation Garrett G-Series turbo. It combines G-Series compressor aerodynamics with a Mar-M alloy turbine wheel rated to 1,050 °C (1,922 °F), and its stainless steel turbine housings carry the same temperature rating. Fully machined speed sensor and pressure ports are built into the compressor housing, and Garrett includes the oil restrictor and water fittings.

Garrett rates the G-Series G35-900 62mm for 550 to 900 horsepower on 2.0 to 5.5 liter engines.

Important Information

Garrett calculates its horsepower ratings from the compressor map choke flow, which represents the potential flywheel horsepower of the turbo. Actual results depend on the engine, supporting modifications and calibration.

Garrett sets the maximum allowable speed for this turbo at 145,000 rpm. Operating above that speed can damage the turbo and cause premature failure. A turbo speed sensor (sold separately) lets you monitor shaft speed.
