Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Race Protocol, a business name of Penndale Road Performance LLC ("Race Protocol," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit our website, place an order, or use our shop services.

Our online store and checkout are powered by Shopify. By using our website or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service conflict on how we collect, use, or share personal information, this Privacy Policy controls.

Information we collect

Information you give us:

Contact information: name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, and phone number
Account information: if you create an account on our website, the account stores your email address and password (or your Google sign-in), your name or company name, your phone number if you add it, and the vehicles you save in your garage, with their build details and notes. Your password is stored in encrypted form, and Race Protocol cannot see it. Orders and shipping addresses are held by Shopify, not in your website account.
Sign in with Google: if you sign in with your Google account, Google shares your name and email address with us. We do not receive your Google password.
Order information: items you add to your cart, products purchased, order history, return requests, and messages you send us
Vehicle information: basic vehicle details, modification lists, and photos you share with us, for example to check fitment or plan shop services
Payment information: entered at checkout and handled by Shopify and its payment partners. Race Protocol does not receive or store your payment card number, and our store does not save cards for future purchases.

Information collected automatically:

Device and usage information: your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, pages viewed, the site that referred you, and how you use our website. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies used by Shopify, and through our website's built-in visitor analytics.

Information from others:

Service providers: delivery updates from shipping carriers, payment confirmations and fraud screening results from Shopify and its payment partners, and information manufacturers provide when they process a return or warranty claim

How we use your information

To process, ship, and track orders, and to handle returns, warranty claims, and shipping claims
To provide shop services and communicate with you about your vehicle
To answer your questions and provide customer service
To set up and maintain your account, including the vehicle information you save to it
To verify orders and prevent fraud
To keep accounting and tax records
To understand how our website is used and improve it
To send marketing messages, only if you choose to receive them
To comply with the law

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

Shopify, for cart, checkout and order processing
Lovable Cloud / Supabase, for website hosting, account sign-in, account emails such as sign-up confirmation and password reset, and contact form messages and pictures
Google, for Google sign-in, if you choose it, and Google Fonts
Lovable's built-in visitor analytics, which helps us understand how our published website is used
Shipping carriers, to deliver orders and handle claims
Manufacturers and distributors, when they ship an order directly to you or process a return or warranty claim. We share your name, shipping address, and order details for this purpose.
QuickBooks (Intuit), which we use for accounting and bookkeeping
Legal authorities or other parties, when required by law, or when needed to protect our rights or prevent fraud
A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or merged

How Shopify handles your information

Shopify hosts our online store and checkout and processes the information you enter there, including your payment information. Shopify may also use information about your interactions with our store, together with information from other Shopify stores and Shopify's own services, to provide and improve its features. When it does, Shopify is responsible for that use under its own privacy policy, and requests about that information are handled by Shopify. Shopify and our other service providers may store and process information outside the United States.

Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies from Shopify to keep the store working and remember your cart. Our website's built-in visitor analytics helps us understand how visitors use the site. When you sign in, our website also stores information in your browser to keep you signed in to your account.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the store may not work without them.

Our website and checkout honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information, including for targeted advertising, for that browser. Marketing messages

We only send marketing emails to customers who choose to receive them. Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link. Even if you opt out of marketing, we will still send messages about your orders, such as confirmations and shipping updates.

Your account

You can create an account on our website. Your account stores your email address and password (or your Google sign-in), your name or company name, your phone number if you add it, and the vehicles you save in your garage, with their build details and notes. Orders and shipping addresses are held by Shopify, not in your website account. You can update your phone number, password, and saved vehicles at any time on your account page. To change your name or email address, or to close and delete your account, contact us. We will delete your account and personal information, except for records we must keep for accounting, tax, or legal purposes.

Reviewing and updating your information

You can review and update your account information by logging in. You can also contact us to review, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law. Before acting on a request, we may need to verify your identity, and we will not treat you differently for making one. If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us.

How long we keep information

We keep your account information and saved vehicles for as long as your account is open. We keep customer and order records for 5 years, then delete them, unless a longer period is required by law.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your personal information. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you create an account, keep your login information private and do not share it with anyone. Please do not send sensitive information, such as payment card numbers, by email or text message.

Links to other websites

Our website may link to manufacturer websites and other sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy or security practices, so please review their policies before sharing information with them. A link to another site does not mean we endorse the site or its owner.

Children

Our website and products are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date. If we make significant changes, we will also notify customers by email or with a notice on our website.
